Drop-Off & Pick-Up
Arrival
All students enter through the front doors from 8:35-8:55 a.m. Students must be in the building by 8:20 a.m. or they will be counted as tardy. There is no supervision until 8:35 a.m.
Bus Riders are dropped off in the mornings on the west side of the building on Water Street.
Dismissal
Bus riders exit the west side of the building onto Water Street when the buses arrive.
Kindergarten and first grade students and their older siblings who are car riders exit the north side of the building. Adults picking up students in the north car loop line will line up along the north curb in front of the building with a visible car tag with a student name(s).
Students in Grades 2, 3, 4 and 5 who are car riders exit the south side of the building. Adults picking up students in the south car loop will file through the car loop from Elm Street with a visible car tag with student name(s).
North walkers are escorted from the north side of the building to the crosswalk at Water and Cedar streets. You may meet your north walker at this location.
South walkers are escorted from the south side of the building to the stop sign at Water and Elm streets. You may meet your south walker at this location.
To assist in a safe and efficient dismissal process, please do not park your vehicle and walk up to pick up your child or ask your child to meet you at a parked vehicle.
Consistency of Transportation
It is very important that your child have consistent transportation each day to and from school. If your child attends Boys and Girls Club or JCPRD each day, and a parent would like to pick them up at school, an adult must notify the office and the classroom teacher of the change. If not notified by an adult, the student will be sent to Boys and Girls Club or JCPRD. If there is a change in transportation, please send a note to your child’s classroom teacher in the morning. If for some reason this is not possible, please call the front office as early in the day as possible by calling 913-780-7370.

Llegada

Los adultos que recojan a los estudiantes en la línea del circuito de automóviles del norte se alinearán a lo largo de la acera norte frente al edificio con una etiqueta de automóvil visible con los nombres de los estudiantes.
Los estudiantes de los grados 2, 3, 4 y 5 que viajan en automóvil salen por el lado sur del edificio. Los adultos que recojan a los estudiantes en el circuito de automóviles del sur pasarán por el circuito de automóviles de Elm Street con una etiqueta de automóvil visible con los nombres de los estudiantes.
Los caminantes del norte son escoltados desde el lado norte del edificio hasta el cruce de peatones en Water and Cedar streets. Puedes encontrarte con tu caminante del norte en este lugar.
Los peatones del sur son escoltados desde el lado sur del edificio hasta la señal de alto en Water y Elm streets. Puedes encontrarte con tu caminante del sur en este lugar.
Para ayudar en un proceso de salida seguro y eficiente, no estacione su vehículo y camine para recoger a su hijo o pídale a su hijo que se reúna con usted en un vehículo estacionado.
Consistencia del Transporte
Es muy importante que su hijo tenga transporte constante todos los días hacia y desde la escuela. Si su hijo asiste a Boys and Girls Club o JCPRD todos los días, y un padre desea recogerlo de la escuela, un adulto debe notificar el cambio a la oficina y al maestro del salón de clases. Si no es notificado por un adulto, el estudiante será enviado a Boys and Girls Club o JCPRD. Si hay un cambio en el transporte, envíe una nota al maestro de la clase de su hijo por la mañana. Si por alguna razón esto no es posible, llame a la oficina principal lo más temprano posible 913-780-7370.
